The 5-barrel brewing system at the Shaw Brewpub is the perfect size to experiment with new beer recipes, thus our brewpub offerings change almost daily. Some are made in a more classic style while others are open-fermented with wild yeasts and housed in our barrel room. Regardless of how they're made, you can always see where they are made, just on the other side of the bar.

ORNETTE | Grisette | 3.7% abv | 12oz Stem
Light, Crisp, Complex. Our rustic farmhouse wheat ale is open fermented with a mix of yeasts from some of our favorite traditional farmhouse breweries. Dry and sprite with flavors of pepper, hay, and stone fruit. Named after late visionary jazz player Ornette Coleman.

LUCULENT | German-Style Pilsner | 5.0% abv | 16oz Pint
Subtle Honey, Toasted Cracker, Spicy. This unfiltered German style Pilsner was brewed with German Pilsner malts and modestly hopped with mild and spicy hops of Mt Hood and Tettnang. One can expect a light bodied, highly-attenuated, gold colored, and bottom fermented slightly bitter German style beer with an elegant, spicy hop aroma.
$5 glass | $16 growler fill
BENNY & JOON | Spiced Belgian-Style Witbier| 4.7% abv | 13.5oz Tulip
Clove, Peppery, Refreshing. This classically brewed Belgian style witbier was brewed with wheat malt and oats then fermented at cooler temperatures to encourage spicy clove esters. We put our twist on this classic by using citra hops in place of orange peel and for added aromatics we tossed in juniper and black pepper at the end of the boil.
REALLY ROSIE | Rose Berliner Weisse | 3.9% abv | 12oz Stem
Lush, Floral, Tart. Our rosé berliner weisse is open fermented with lactobacillus and brettanomyces, and brewed with rose hips, hibiscus, elderberries, and pink peppercorns. Inspired by the Maurice Sendak musical (which you should hum in your head as you drink).
DIAMONDS, FUR COAT, CHAMPAGNE | Aromatized Berliner Weisse | 3.8% abv | 12oz Stem
Zesty, Floral, Tart. This tart wheat ale is fermented with lactobacillus and finished with our house mixed-culture of wild yeasts. Bitterness, alcohol and residual sugar are very low allowing the late-boil addition of elderflowers and fresh grapefruit peel, and dry-hopping with Hallertau Blanc to shine through. The recipe was written to mimic some of the floral and citrus character of a brut Champagne.
$6 glass | $17 growler fill
BIÈRE DE MARS | Bière de Mars | 5.4% abv | 12oz Stem
Dry, Passionfruit, Rustic. Our Bière de Mars was the first wild beer out of the barrel room and brewed as a tribute to March. Brewed with wheat, oats, and Galaxy hops and open-fermented with our saison yeast blend.
BRINGING IN THE SHEAVES | Hoppy Farmhouse Ale | 4.5% abv | 13.5oz Tulip
Crisp, Floral, Citrus. This hoppy rustic ale is open fermented with our farmhouse yeasts and brewed with spelt, wheat, and oats. Sturdily hopped with Centennial, Amarillo, and Zythos. Come rejoice!
$6 glass | $16 growler fill
RUNCIBLE | Farmhouse IPA | 6.7% abv | 13.5oz Tulip
Citrusy, Bright, Floral. If a brewer working on a farm in Belgium made an IPA it might taste something like this. This brett-IPA is medium bodied but light on your palate. A touch of acidity dances playfully amongst notes of tropical and citrus fruits and fresh cut flowers.
YEASTY BOYZ | NE-Style IPA | 7.3% abv | 13.5oz Tulip
Dank, Guava, Stone Fruit. A collaboration between Mad Fox Brewing Company, Right Proper Brewing Company, and Bright Yeast Labs. This interpretation of a NE style IPA was brewed with a hefty dose of flaked oats then heavily dosed with Azacca, Medusa and Amarillo for ripe guava and citrusy flavors and aroma then fermented with Burton’s English Ale yeast.
