SHAW
Our last night operating in Shaw is Sunday, March 1st. We’ll be moving the operations to a turnkey restaurant space in DC, soon to be announced. This neighborhood spot was our first true love, where Right Proper Brewing all started back in 2013. We’ll miss it dearly, but we’re also super excited for the next chapter. Stay tuned.

We can generally accept your party at any time, so just come on in. We do accept reservations for groups of 8 or more. Just give us a call at 202-607-2337. For groups larger than 15, we recommend submitting an event inquiry here.

We love our location, especially because it’s around the corner from the Green line’s Shaw-Howard University Metro station: It’s definitely the easiest way to get to and from here (and ideal for a brewery). The closest bus lines are 70, 79, 90, 92, and 96.
We also have a bike corral with plenty of bike parking directly in front of our restaurant. A free bike pump is located on the east side of our patio, too.
If you need to drive, street parking is the best option: Some are metered and some have 2-hour zone restrictions. There is a paid parking garage in our building: The entrance in the alley next to Right Proper, but hours vary.

Families are totally welcome! We have high chairs for little ones, a delicious kids’ menu, and games for all ages.

We’re happy to welcome your pups on our outdoor patio, where our staff can provide a bowl of water for them, too.

Sure do! We have six-packs, 12-packs, and bottles you can purchase to consume off our premises. Love something on tap? Bring in a growler and we will happily fill it.
